Spring ‘24 Batch Release

I’m thrilled to unveil the first Batch Release of the year, signalling a continuation of my artistic journey with a refined approach. With the dawn of the New Year, laden with resolutions and fresh beginnings, I approached this collection of works with a renewed perspective, fine-tuning my workflow and enhancing my darkroom space.

My aim for this year was refinement, a commitment not only to the work itself but to the entire process surrounding it. I've delved deep into the core principles of my print process, resulting in a few notable additions…

NENSHŌ

In this release, I proudly present three new Nenshō prints bearing the Lot number N3. These pieces have been meticulously crafted within a redesigned and enhanced darkroom space. Fine-tuning the enlarger and printing platform has granted me the ability to capture a wider range of detail, extending right to the edges of the printed area. Additionally, I've introduced a subtle yet significant touch by hand-debossing the Lot number and Print number in the lower left corner, opposite my maker's mark. This addition serves not only as a mark of authenticity but also as a guide, offering insight into the journey of each individual print.

KENKYONA

Alongside the additions to the Nenshō series, I've embarked on a journey to create an open series of smaller, more intimate prints, aptly titled Kenkyona. There are 5 prints in this release, and each adorns its space with quiet grace, seamlessly merging into its environment while still piquing the curiosity of the viewer. Like their larger counterparts, these prints bear the debossed Lot and Print numbers, nestled discreetly in the bottom left corner.

This batch of works has been a true labour of love, and I am thrilled to share them with you all.
